Just a quick one - on Sunday the big news was that the Saudi Minister of Culture and Information said that there was no federal law in Saudi Arabia prohibiting women from driving. It's a local thing. In searching for the link I found other articles where King Abdullah said that men were just not ready to give women driver's licenses.

I hear women can drive: Danica Patrick finished fourth in last year's Indy 500. Reacting to her win, Bernie Ecclestone, the billionaire curmudgeon CEO of Formula 1 racing was quoted as saying "Women should be all dressed in white, like all other domestic appliances."
So us menfolk have a ways to go...
